Swimming & The Weekend
We had a great weekend with family and friends! My mom came in town on Thursday to hang out for a few days. She left Saturday morning and then we headed to Bryan to visit with Bailey's parents! Brayden was so lucky- he got to see 3 out of 4 grandparents this weekend and he LOVED it!
Today we went swimming with Kelsey and Nanda at D's parents house and had a great time! I finally got some pictures of Brayden all decked out in his swimsuit and he is too cute! I think this will be the only summer where he will let me put a hat on him, so I am taking full advantage of it!:) He had so much fun and is now sleeping hard!
My mom brought down a walker for us to put Brayden in and he LOVES it! His feet can't touch the ground yet, but he enjoys being able to sit up and look around the room. Bailey is ready for him to take off and move around the room, but I would just like him to stay put for a little bit longer.
Here are a slew of new pictures(click on the picture to make it larger)...

We don't have much planned until the end of the week. Thursday we are heading out to Round Rock for the weekend to celebrate the 4th of July with my brother, Lindsay, the kiddos and my parents. Then on Friday we are going to welcome to the world our new niece, Samantha Joy! (unless she decides to come sooner!) We are so excited for her to get here and for Brayden to have his new cousin to play and grow up with!!:)
I'll make sure to get some pics of Brayden on the 4th July and post those! Thanks for stopping by!:)

Videos
Brayden rolling over and then inching across the floor..could this be leading to crawling?
I am still trying to add pictures to the 'banner' and I almost have it figured out! No big plans for today. Yesterday, we went and visited Nanda for a few hours. She had back surgery a few weeks back, so we went to give her some 'get well' wishes. (Brayden loved spending time with you Nanda!:) ) Tomorrow we are going to go visit my friend Ellen and her son Kyle and hopefully go swimming in their pool if the weather is nice.
I have to say I am addicted to blogging now!:) Hopefully, I can keep this momentum up.

Here it goes..
We got home and my mom stayed with us for a week. The routine of having a new baby got better and easier as each day passed. We quickly settled into our new little family. Brayden was growing so fast and I had to go back to work after 6 weeks, but I found the worlds best sitter, Mrs. Sandy, to keep him.
Now here we are and Brayden is still doing good. He has acid reflux, but the doctor says he is doing great and he 'should'grow out of the GER when he is sitting up better and eating solids. We started giving him rice cereal a few weeks ago, but it has been really watered down and it wasn't until the other night when we finally made it thicker that he started to enjoy it. Infact, he liked it so much he wanted to feed himself and it went everywhere. I think it is time to get the highchair out.
Now Brayden is trying to get up on all fours and move around. He is growing increasingly frustrated with not being able to move. He trys to get up on his knees and then takes a nosedive into the blanket. However, this method does allow him to move a few inches and he is very proud of himself when he sees that he has moved!
Some other things Brayden is doing:
- jumping like crazy in the laps of people who are holding him(he thinks laps are his jumperoo)
- rolling from back to tummy and tummy to back
- smiling and laughing
- cooing and making 'razz' noises
- screaming/squealing
- grabbing whatever is in arms reach
- putting everything into his mouth
This summer we just plan to hang around the apt and enjoy Brayden. Bailey is taking 12 hours this summer and I will just enjoy being a stay at home mom until August. We are going to Round Rock for the 4th of July. Other than that, nothing else is planned.
That is all for now- check back often for updates!:)
