Brayden's Tricks

Brayden was in a good mood while eating dinner, so I decided to see how many of his tricks he could show us at once. The video is over 5 minutes soo be prepared! *Kelsey, I hope this makes smile!:)

Isn't he so cute?!?!:) Some of my favorite things that he is doing now is when he says 'cheeeese' when he sees a camera, saying 'uh huh' while shaking his read, running, and giving us hugs while saying 'awww'. Love him so much!!:)

Whew- what a great week off!! We went to Round Rock for Thanksgiving and had soooo much fun! Brayden loved playing with his cousin, Cacob!:) It's really Jacob, but B calls him Cacob..haha! They chased each other around the house for like an hour, took baths together, gave each other big hugs and lots of kisses, fought over every toy and then cried when they had to leave. It's so sweet to watch the bond begin...i think they are going to be best of friends!!:)

I would post way more, but me and B got locked in his room tonight for 2 and a half hours and luckily our back neighbors heard us screaming through the window and came and threw us a screwdrive...yeaaah- it was a FUN evening!:)

Anyway, since B loves the camera so much I decided to add some more pics...enjoy!:)

So wow....a lot has gone on since I last blogged. Bailey got his 'big boy' job...yaay! He is the new Asst. Manager at Cavenders by Reliant starting Nov 15 and he is so pumped about this. Soo proud of him!:)

I am starting my masters on Nov 15 as well...so things in our house are going to be busy busy! Several other friends are starting that date because we decided it would be easier to do it as a group...hopefully, I can manage work, school and one hyper-busy boy!:)

Now on to the real reason you allll stalk my blog...Brayden!;) It AMAZES me how quickly he changes on a weekly basis. He is talking up a storm and while most of the time I am the only one who can decode his messages- it still is fun to hear him communicating! His new favorite word is 'MIIIINE' while he is frantically taking a toy away or holding onto it for dear life!:) He can also show you his muscles if you ask him where they are...hehe! He clinches his face real tight like he is about to go to the bathroom and flexes his arms...adorable!

Brayden can also open doors now and he especially likes to get into the pantry door. The other night I ran upstairs to do something and I heard him yelling 'Hi' which means 'Mooom, where are you? I want attention!' So as I am walking down the stairs I see him sitting on the bottom step and as i get closer he has a bag of chips in his hand just eating away. He literally opened up the pantry door, grabbed his chips, then shut the door and made his place on the steps. Needless to say we will be child-proofing those this weekend. Although, the door handle things are more like adult-proof...I can NEVER work them...this should be fun!:)

He can tell me where the moon is and loves cars, trucks, tractors and anything he can push around on the floor. He has also decided his new flannel cars pj's are his FAVORITE and refuses to take them off!:) It is a battle when trying to get him dressed and when I act like i am going to let him put his pj's back on...the temper tantrum stops...fun! I guess my kid will be the one who wears his pj's to school-ha!

Brayden gives the BIGGEST hugs & kisses now most of the time when I ask. Or he will randomly come hug me and it melts my heart. He also takes in all lost stuffed animals and his crib looks like a toy store with how many stuffed animals he decides to go to bed with. It's rather cute though to see him be so loving on toys...my sweet sweet boy!

He loves to color and eat the crayons too..he has had some pretty colorful poop here lately-lol! Also, he no longer wants me to carry him into school- he is a big boy and can walk alll by himself...that was a hard hit to take!

We are just having so much fun with Brayden and if you ever get bored please come visit us. Bailey is working a lot because retail in the holidays calls for that, so I LOVE visitors. Seriously- invite yourself out here and I promise Brayden will entertain you for the afternoon- because he loves to show off on his turf! :)

His first night in his cars PJ's and he was SOO excited. I had him sit on the step and was trying to teach him to say 'cheeeese' and smile...this is what I got instead...

I am sure there are 100 things I am forgetting to talk about, but basically Brayden is quickly turning into a BIG boy. He is 21 months and yes, I am already planning his 2nd bday! You guys know me too well!! ;)

My mom is coming in town this weekend & we are going to hit up some craft shows around town and just enjoy this beautiful weather!! Sorry for any typos and/or grammer issues. We are missing a few keys(thanks to a certain little boy) and if I wait any longer to make corrections I may never post this blog...soo you get what you get and you don't throw a fit! (i sing that to my lovely 5th graders when they are fighting over colors or other things..haha!)

I hope to blog again soon...I promise I will get better Kelsey! ;)

*Update

I am currently working on a blog post with LOTS of pictures and updates on B...gasp- I know, so exciting! Check back in the next day or so...I'll leave you with this to encourage you to come back...

Family Pics...sneak peak...

Took family pics with Charly Stagg today and when we got home she had 2 pictures up for us to see. Brayden was all over the place and would NOT sit still to save his life. We literally carried him around upside down for awhile, so this 1st picture is so fitting with how the time was spent....gotta love that busy little boy!! :)

Where has the time gone..??

I can't believe it has been over a month since I last blogged and I certainly can't believe Brayden is 20 months old now!!

B is doing so much and is just so fun. He keeps us busy, so once he goes to bed my life revolves around laying on the couch with Bailey and resting! B is still loving school and even has a little girlfriend or possibly 2. I think one of the girls is his gf and Bailey always talks about a different one. The one i talk about, Sydney, they hold hands at the breakfast table and share food...haha! The other one, who Bailey talks about, gets kisses from Brayden before he leaves each day...ha! Such a ladies man already...i am nervous for the real girlfriends...eee!

He loves to point to his nose and while I know he knows where his other body parts are he refuses to point to them and will just keep saying 'nooose' and trying to take either his nose off our mine! He loves to dance, clap and even has a little pep in his step when he walks when he is being goofy- too cute! He is saying please and more in sign language(daycare taught him) and will just randomly say please or more at the weirdest times...haha! It's so cute when he does it that when he is asking for more 'cookies' I have a hard time saying no!

What else....he still loves Melmo and we are planning on taking him to sesame street live in Feb for his bday. He also is still super sweet and loves to cuddle with mommy still.

B loves his Elmo kitchen we got him last year for Christmas and was cheezin' it up big time for me and maw-maw a few weeks ago when she was in town...

Since this Brayden has had his 2nd haircut and he looks super cute...below you will see what that looks like too!:)

I did get a video today of B playing with his ball popper- he LOVES it- and once the video was done he decided to tilt the toy, so the balls would pop in his face & he thought it was the coolest thing. I also can't forget to mention how much he enjoys trying out new sounds and using them over and over again....the video is proof of that! I thought you would enjoy this Kelsey...

Right now his favorite words are 'WHOA' and 'UH-OH'! So he will purposely spill a big bucket of toys just so he can say, 'Whoaaa' or drop something and say 'uh-oh'....what a ham!:)

In other news- Bailey is still on the job hunt. He took a second part-time job at the new Cavenders here in Conroe to help out some more, so if you need to buy some boots go see him!:) He absolutely LOVES working there and we are hoping a management spot opens up for him soon!

I am LOVING my new group of kiddos this year and have the best student teacher to work with. I will be lost when she leaves in December!

Oh and while skyping with Kelsey one day- Brayden decided to crawl into the dryer and since I didn't have my camera kelsey took a snapshot through skype. The quality is not great, but you get the idea...

He though it was the best thing ever and now wants to do this EVERYDAY- I just love him and how curious he is. I hope he never stops that no matter how much it tires me out!:)

I really am upset with myself for not blogging more and uploading more pics because I enjoy looking back at old posts and remembering what B was doing or what he looked like. It's amazing how quickly the time goes by and how much you forget unless you write it down or take pictures. Tomorrow we are getting family pics taken, so I am super excited for that & will share those as soon as I get them back!

Well- here you go Kelsey- hope this made you smile & do you know how hard it is to type THIS MUCH with the a,t, p and shift button missing as well as the shift bar sticking????? Man, I must really love you!;)

Mrs. Shirley sent me this picture tonight and apparently, Brayden LOVES to paint at school...haha

This is typical Brayden- making the BIGGEST mess possible...oh I love him so much...mess and all! :)

Annd I guess they moved the other kids away, so they wouldn't get painted into a smurf by Brayden- ha!

Brayden's School

I am pooped from my 1st week back at school and Brayden's 1st full week at his school, so I don't have much time to write anything fancy. Brayden is doing great for the most part. Drop offs are hard, so he keeps his pooh bear close by at school to comfort him- which helps a lot! Mrs. Shirley, his teacher, sends me pictures almost daily and they are just precious! I uploaded several, so you could see what he is up to at school....

I promise I will write a lot more details about B and what he is up to...like that he sleeps in his toddler bed now on MOST nights and the new words he is saying, so check back soon!:)
